FAQs

Spreadsheets are familiar and powerful tools, but they lack automation. Effort bridges that gap, offering a more streamlined experience for journaling, note-taking, and habit tracking compared to traditional spreadsheets.

Effort is built on the foundation of Google Sheets. We believe in the power of cloud-based collaboration and real-time updates that Google Sheets offers. This core integration allows us to provide a seamless and efficient experience for our users.
While we're always exploring ways to improve our platform, expanding compatibility to Microsoft Excel isn't currently on our roadmap. Our focus remains on optimizing our Google Sheets integration and delivering exceptional value to our users through this platform.
-
No! Don't overwhelm yourself. A good litmus test is: if it's something you’d write down as a todo on a notepad, then it can go into Effort.
Track only what's important to you.

The default target is 35, which translates to roughly 4-8 hours of deliberate task completion at a moderate intensity. But achieving more is regularly attainable. In fact, building Effort often required days of 140 points or more.
Of course, one of the goals of Effort is to help balance the many Pillars of life. So while theoretically, you could reach 240 effort points by working intensely for 24 hours straight, that's not realistic (or healthy)!
